Disembarking from their initial ‘oddball’ stylings for more of a dream-pop inspired shoegaze approach, the Sheffield based quintet’s enigmatic newest single Closer, highlights exactly why the group’s newest album Where Myth Becomes Memory is being referred to as their most ambitious work to date.

Speaking on the new single and video, keyboardist and vocalist James Spence said, “We wanted to show a completely different side to the record by releasing this single. The album is full of lighter, more gentle moments to contrast the darker side to it and none more so than this.”

Vocalist Eva Korman added, “The narrative side to the video is about the constant cycle of change. For better or worse, we take our past experiences with us into constantly evolving new beginnings.”

With Where Myth Becomes Memory set for release on February 4th 2022 through MNRK, Closer now marks the third single, with the previously released singles/videos for Drip and Cloaked already amassing 500,000 views on Youtube between them.

The group are currently gearing up for their upcoming European headliner tour, meaning it may be a little while until we get the chance to witness their mystifying new sound live in Australia.

But until then, you can check out all the brilliant Where Myth Becomes Memory pre-order bundles, vinyl variants, album + live show ticket bundles HERE.
