PLINI // Set For Australian And New Zealand Tour

After touring Australia twice over the past two years, progressive instrumentalist Plini will once again embark across Australia in October.

This time the instrumentalist will be joined by multiple artists, with the promise of the guitarist playing more intimate events.

The tour offers more than just a chance to see Plini’s music performed live with talented musicians. Along with Nick Johnston and Jakub Zytecki, Plini will be hosting Q&A’s focusing on virtuoso guitar playing.

Along with the aforementioned musicians, Plini will be joined by keyboardist Dave Mackay and band Heavy Metal Ninjas for the New Zealand leg of his tour. Dave Mackay will play keyboards for Plini’s set including material of his most recent EP, 2018’s Sunhead.

This tour will be the last one Plini performs before taking a hiatus to return to his bedroom, studio to record his second studio album, the first being the mosaic Handmade Cities from 2016. The new album is set for release is 2020 and the tour may provide a hint of what music is to come.

On previous tours Plini performed gigs at famous venues including the Roxy Theatre, Islington Assembly Hall, and the Corner Hotel. Plini has also recently been invited to become an instructor along with other virtuso players like Stevie Vai, Joe Satriani and Devin Townsend at the Vai Academy 5.0 in New York.
