Whilst previous singles such as Reflect lean more towards harmonies through the incorporation of clean vocals, Water Under The Bridge is unflinching in its approach.

With the rhythm dropping multiple octaves compared to its predecessors and adding a bounce feel, Water Under The Bridge adds an immense punch to coincide with it’s retrospective and empowering lyrics. For how structured and refined each component of the song is; it almost feels like it has a woozy feel … as if it’s that ‘special kind of heavy’ that you are too consumed by headbanging to mosh to.

By packing such a punch early on in the song, you almost feel like the energy may wear out quickly because; when the stakes are raised so high, can they really be raised that much higher?Yes, yes they can and Novus have proven it. Packing a raw intensity to the breakdown that hasn’t been felt from an Australian act since the acts like Graves and Cursed Earth dropped off, Water Under The Bridge is the perfect full stop to the up and comers forward thinking single arc.
