Surprise! Scene luminaries Northlane have shared details of their forthcoming remix EP 5G, set to drop this Friday through UNFD.

The EP will feature appearances from a stack of yet to be announced guests—exactly what we’ve come to expect from a band who’ve consistently pushed the envelope.

“We wanted to curate a remix record for quite some time. The idea really got some legs on our last European tour, and with some idle time on our hands, the back end of 2020 was the perfect time to get this project fully underway. We’ve handpicked some of our favourite artists to work with outside of the metal genre to take our songs and make them their own.” says guitarist Josh Smith.

Northlane’s last record, Alien, shot right up to the top five of the ARIA album charts; it also scored the ARIA award for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album and went on to become their highest selling debut worldwide. The band will headline this year’s Full Tilt festival in Brisbane and Melbourne alongside In Hearts Wake, Hands Like Houses, Thy Art Is Murder, Luca Brasi and more.
