The album set to be released on the 7th June, will feature a whole host of musical influences and styles. With descriptors of his first release labelling the stylings created as Johnny Cash in neon.

While the jury is still out on this description, Oh, Brother does provide a dark tale of brotherhood and the strains of the idea of blood being thicker than water. With a minimalist one shot video featuring the lyrics below, it is clear Floreani’s feelings don’t want to be misconstrued.

“My brother has always been a troubled person. His fight to be a better version of himself has been a long and painful losing battle that hurts everybody involved,” John Floreani says. “I’ve been kind to him over the years—I was really the only person that loved and cared for him unconditionally. Recently, after a falling out, I decided to not be that person anymore”

Floreani’s first single Echoes wall of sound approach is negated in favour of a sparser arrangement. With Oh, Brother Floreani continues the theme of exploring the darker themes of his life with lyrical contemplation.

“This project serves as an authentic, deep knee jerk reaction to the shallow lyrical themes of modern pop.” Floreani states.

Sin is John Floreani’s first full release, following up 2014 EP Terrace. The album will feature eight tracks and is set to be released by Trophy Eyes’ label Hopeless Records.
