Hot Nuns have supercharged their forthcoming EP, Rude Dumb & Anxious, with tasty bass drops and drum rolls that’ll begin to raise the hairs in your ears after the first listen of the fiery tracks, and you wouldn’t want to suspend the energy from rolling through the airwaves after just one listen.

Especially once the distortion from the opening track, Can’t Get Over You is executed into the steamy drumming that layers around the ba-da-da-dum’s of the choruses, which reverberate like an anthem until the final note has been strummed and wrung out to dry.  

… they’re exhibiting just how explosive and full-bodied two-piece punk bands can be.

I Love You Still, I Always Will comes through the speakers like a wave that’s surfacing out of a riptide as the drums and bass weave through one another, eventually landing us on hard sand during the breakdown. Taking more of a pop-punk approach with the skipping melody that arises through First Time, the harmonious vocals are matched by the inducing beat that’ll have you singing along in notes of nostalgia. The self-titled track, Rude Dumb & Anxious makes with a hasty tempo, leaving no space for mercy within the drawling vocals which peak during the thunderous verses and explode through the choruses that soon bring the EP to a close with a flurry of anticipation for more. 

It’d be hard to hear that there were only two members comprising Hot Nuns. As their upbeat energy, thunderous melodies and synchronicity might suggest that there was another member, perhaps a rhythm guitarist; Hot Nuns are actually two members, both from Blood Command. With Yngve Andersen on bass/vocals and Sigurd Haakaas on drums/vocals, they’re exhibiting just how explosive and full-bodied two-piece punk bands can be.
