THE FRONT BOTTOMS // Drop Music Video For New Single ‘Tie Dye Dragon’

The Front Bottoms are back, this time with a new music video for their brand new song Tie Dye Dragon.

The official video, which is streaming now on the Fueled by Ramen Youtube channel, was directed by Mark Jaworski and is the first single to be released off of their upcoming Ann EP. The Ann EP is now available for pre-order and will be released worldwide on Friday May 18, as the second instalment of the Grandma Series. Ann, comprised of six tracks, follows the band’s Rose EP, released in 2014, and features five new recordings of never before released fan favourite songs in addition to their new hit Tie Dye Dragon.

The new Ann EP also follows The Front Bottoms 2017 release, the Going Grey LP which featured Peace Sign, the band’s first song to break into the US Alternative Radio charts. It also featured hits such as Vacation Town, Everyone But You and Raining which were received well to critical acclaim with publications such as NPR describing the new music as “brutally honest, witty and confessional”. The FADER claimed that, “The Front Bottoms make memorable sing-a-longs that call back to a different, simpler, sadder era of confessional guitar music.” Stereogum pitched in and praised the song Raining as, “grand and reflective and damn near arena ready.” Furthermore A.V. Club declared, “The Front Bottoms are more confident, and secure enough to confess to all they don’t yet know. It’s a privilege to listen in as they work it out.”

The two-piece band indie rockers from New Jersey, made up of guitarist/vocalist Brian Sella and drummer Mathew Uychich made their Fueled by Ramen debut with their 2015 LP Back On Top, which featured hit singles Help and Cough It Out, with the latter being named by NPR Music as one of its “Favourite Songs of 2015”. SPIN applauded the album’s fuller sound suggesting, “Signing to Fueled By Ramen gave them the opportunity to further polish their winning melodies and conversational lyrics.”
