T.S.O.L // Announce First Ever Australian Tour

T.S.O.L, the Southern Californian punk pioneers, will finally be touring Australia this August.

The tour will be the first time the band have hit our shores in their expansive 40 year career (better late than never, right?!). They will bring the heat to venues in South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. Coffin will also be coming along for the ride, playing all five dates with the Cali crew.

First bursting onto the scene in 1978, T.S.O.L  (short for True Sounds of Liberty) was formed out of the ashes of earlier bands, SS Cult and Johnny Koathanger and the Abortions. Originally fronted by four pasty-faced youths, the band burst onto their local club scene with dark, frantic anthems about alienation and troubled youth (oh, and with a hell of a lot of white paint covering their faces).

In the years following, their self-described “Orange County Invasion” spread. The band began to headline major shows, offering opening slots to bands like Bad Religion, Suicidal Tendencies and Social Distortion. Despite some major structural changes throughout the years, the band are still kicking—now with a lineup of Jack Grisham on vocals, Ron Emory on guitar, Mike Roche on bass, Greg Kuehn on piano/synths and Antonio Val Hernandez on drums.
