RATKING // All Kings Deserve Crowns

Western Australian hardcore outfit RATKING has just released their high intensity cover of The Offspring’s Come Out and Play and it’s huge!

Turning the tracks original poppish choruses of the 90s anthem into drawling growls and fast paced drum beats, RATKING have turned it into one of their own through drawing on elements of punk, metal and hardcore, that really accentuates the time spanning between The Offspring’s original release on their 1994 album Smash, and RATKING’s version that was released on Friday 24th January.

Not only have RATKING just sprung this one into the public, but they’ve also recently announced that they’ll be playing as the main supports for Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes show tonight in Perth at The Rosemount Hotel… and if that’s not enough to get yourselves within the venue containing their ferocious melodies, they’ll also be playing on 31st January at Lucy’s Love Shack in Perth, WA, for the World Ablaze Community Fire Appeal. There, Ratking will share the stage with Conform, Idle Eyes, Convulse, Carbxn Based and Curbstomp, where tickets will be available on the door for punters aged 18+.

Though this may all sound like a lot for one news piece, there’s still yet to come as they *prepare fast paced drumroll…* have also announced that they’ll be releasing a new EP in the near future. Ratking, right now, appear unstoppable as they continue to make their mark on the music scene.

With all of this being delivered as one mouthful, it’s pretty evident that Ratking are wasting no time to rise to the forefront of hardcore as we know it. While they cast their eyes on the prospects of both European and American tours, we fellow Aussie’s can only hope that they’ll do a national Australian tour prior to jumping out into the world at large.
