Dear Joey and Brooke, What a wild ride! I just wanted to write to express …
For the last two years, Planisphere has stood on top of their soapbox, loudly proclaiming genre norms; who needs ’em?!

And they’ve done the same on their latest single, Fury, bringing out the megaphone to make their loudest statement to date.
With their tongue planted firmly in their cheek, the trio has embraced old school rock, 80s pop, dance, electronica, punk and metal. A key focus on synths, mammoth riffs and retro-tinged vocals anchors the track though, and it’s this that helps tie all the different textures and tones together. That and the track’s strong production. When we caught up with the band, they said Fury was about standing up for what you believe in, no matter what anyone says or thinks. These relatable and empowering lyrics are another clear highlight.
Planisphere has created their own little universe by dialling all these elements up to eleven and embracing a sense of theatrics.
This message also feeds through to the tracks incred music video, which you NEED to check out if you haven’t already. In a sense, Planisphere has created their own little universe by dialling all these elements up to eleven and embracing a sense of theatrics. This does make Fury a little cheesy, but with the band’s strong sense of self-awareness in play, we promise it’s in the best way possible. Planisphere are a breath of fresh air, clearly having fun with what they do. And honestly, it’d be criminal to not embrace their good vibes. So go on, let your hair down (or go full glam metal on it), put your dancing shoes on and sing Fury loud.
