Footsteps At The Pond might be the closest the band has veered towards indie rock while remaining resoundingly La Dispute.

The video, like the first to come off the album, is another animated production but this time directed and animated by Daisy Fernandez—a London-based games designer and graduate of the National Film and Television School. With a completely different animation style than that of Rose Quartz / Fulton Street 1, this one is video game-esque with bright colours strewn throughout juxtaposed by darkness. You can watch it below. Panorama is available 22nd March via Epitaph Records.

La Dispute has maintained the same attitude they started with since they formed in 2004. They are a band figuring out how to live meaningfully while also trying to make meaningful art without compromise. Panorama, then, is another chapter in a discography that tells everyday stories in a remarkable way. It takes you deep within the heart of the world we live in, which may not always be a comfortable or comforting place to be, but at the very least it’s a reminder that we’re not there alone.

Pre-order Panorama here.
