They might be relative newcomers, but Futility follows up two previous singles and a 2021 EP that showed them to have some real promise in a crowded playing field. This one floats in on delicate keys before the deception of serenity is torn asunder by Shannon Marston’s ragged growl and a stomping groove riff punctuated by rapid-fire drumming.

Futility is a strong track that adds further promise this band has already shown with earlier efforts.

The staccato percussive attack and minor key synths are the main drivers of Futility. The slightly unconventional structure and melodic backing vocals instead of the standard clean, soaring chorus also benefit the track and give Infinite Exile something of an original edge. Futility is a strong track that adds further promise this band has already shown with earlier efforts.
