Clowns have released their last single I Shaved My Legs For You before their Freeing In The Sun East Coast Tour hitting off next Friday.
A hellish tune from start to finish, there is never a dull moment while listening to I Shaved My Legs For You as frantic drums and distorted guitars make up the whole of the fresh new tune. Like a freight train roaring past, the upbeat tune ploughs along, full speed ahead, with an unstoppable guitar solo to bring the whole song together. Put together with vocals that add to the concoction of the head-banging tune, Clowns have really one-upped themselves from their track Freezing In The Sun.
Described ultimately as a love song, I Shaved My Legs For You is about “the kind of love that exists all around us in romances, work places, family homes and yet under our noses; taboo, forbidden and omnipresent”.
Paired with a frenetic music video, this single really captures the energy of the track in full force. Dropping bells and whistles for a simple music video of the members of the band playing the song their hardest in a pink-lit room, the energy seeps through the screen and speakers into your mind, making you want to take on the world bigger and better than before.
Directed by Aidan McDonald at Walking Moustache, and what seems to be filmed behind a factory door as the lyrics imply, I Shaved My Legs For You is a tune that has created even more hype for the Freezing In The Sun East Coast Tour.
With more power than you can handle, don’t be surprised if you hear this tune following you around in the warmer months, as it really holds that energetic, summer feeling.
