The new offering is out today on The Smith Street Band’s Pool House Records and Australia’s number one party starters, The Bennies, kick off their Australian Summer tour tonight in Brisbane.

From the second the intro starts, an infectiously fun, rolling bassline sucks you into the party vortex. The drums soon come rolling in at a perfect pace for cruising the summer streets. A tasty horn line and bouncing upstrokes on the guitar make it impossible not to bop your head. If that’s not already enough to have you roped in, The Bennies lead singer Anty’s fun and cheeky persona shines on this track as his playful vocals dance over the verses, before the the band erupts for a punchy group vocal chorus.

Watch the clip for Waiting For Dave as shot by Nick Manuell and featuring the epic horn players Wes ‘Money Train’ Kingsford (Sax), Nathan ‘Strathan’ Holt (Trumpet) and Michael ‘Dougy’ Rankin (Trombone) below.

“Waiting For Dave was so much fun to record, with Sam Johnson at the helm (The Hard Aches, Adalita) and the amazing horn section, who laced the song with so much extra flavour, having everyone in the studio vibing off each other was incredible, and you can really hear the energy captured on this record” DJ Snes Mega comments on the track.

Catch The Bennies live before they head off for their fourth European tour, playing at Belgium’s Brakrock festival and Punk Rock Holiday in Slovenia amongst a huge line up that also includes NOFXDescendents and Less Than Jake.

Waiting For Dave is the fuel injected party starter of the summer, and a healthy indication that The Bennies are coming in hot!
