And now, they’ve followed it up with an emotional and visually captivating music video, bringing the track’s concept to life.
Directed by Aidan Rice, the clip features the band performing the track, celebrating its indie-rock melodies and singalong moments. But it’s also intertwined with bittersweet shots of a couple. From a melancholy birthday to a food fight briefly reigniting their spark, it all plays into the story of lost love. And it’s only emphasised further through the use of a washed-out colour palette.
It’s the perfect visual representation of the complexities and contradictions of human relationships, and what we tried to capture with We Don’t Talk.

Frontman Jared Roscioli spoke about the clip’s significance in a statement: “The video portrays the story of a couple whose relationship is on the brink, and while they both understand that staying together is detrimental, the pain of separation is too overwhelming. You start with a birthday celebration, a moment that should be joyous, but instead is tinged with sadness and introspection. You then follow with the release of emotions, that Aidan captures perfectly through the metaphor of a food fight, ending in a melancholy surrender. It’s the perfect visual representation of the complexities and contradictions of human relationships, and what we tried to capture with We Don’t Talk.”
