Over the last 15 years, triple j’s One Night Stand concert series has made it their mission to bring some of Australia’s best music acts to the far and in between regional areas of the country. The likes of Tash Sultana, Silverchair, The Smith Street Band and Violent Soho are just a handful of the nation’s favourite acts who have been featured on the series. The show has travelled to places like Geraldton WA, Mount Isa QLD, Cowra NSW and Port Pirie SA, and now, triple j are looking for their next host.
In 2018 your town could be hosting One Night Stand–all you have to do is tell triple j all about your town and why hosting the event will make a difference to the community. This is an awesome opportunity to get your town rocking, so make sure to get those applications in by Wednesday 21 March. Shortlisted towns will be contacted in April, with final date, location and line up announced in May.
