THE SWORD // Announce Australian Headlining Tour This September

Texas Rockers, The Sword are set to send heads thrashing with their announcement of their upcoming visit to our shores.

The tour will feature a string of tour dates running through early September.

The four piece, fronted by vocalist and guitarist JD Cronise are set to bring their uplifting brand of heavy psychedelic rock to venues in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

The tour comes off the back of their spellbinding sixth studio release, Used Future. While The Sword have traditionally taken massive inspiration from classic rock originators like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy and classic era Metallica; their latest work saw them add to this by melding buzzsaw guitars, 60’s garage, 70’s psychedelia and a heaped serving of sludge with lyrical content tackling mythology, science fiction literature and introspective philosophy.

Pre-sale tickets for the tour can be accessed from Thursday the 3rd of May, opening at 10.00am local time and running until 11.59pm local time. If you miss out though, the official sale kicks off on the following day at 10.00am local time. Tickets will be available for purchase via David Roy Williams.
