Dear Joey and Brooke, What a wild ride! I just wanted to write to express …
It’s been a long time coming but alternative rockers Sleep Talk has finally blessed us with their debut LP, and oh boy has it been worth the wait.

Everything in Colour sees the Radelaide natives take the sound they introduced on their debut EP Growing Pains and adds that extra layer of depth to it. It’s wild and hectic in nature, and it weaves us through a labyrinth where we’re never quite sure what’s around the next corner. It’s these little genre subversions that really make this record stand out in a sea of heavy releases. There’s still plenty of shit (Allergic to the World is a real standout) to chuck a little mosh to, but Everything in Colour houses a lot more than just limb moving moments.
It weaves us through a labyrinth where we’re never quite sure what’s around the next corner.
As far as Sleep Talk themselves go, the band have worn their heart firmly on their sleeves, dropping a running commentary on the everyday struggle of life and routine. The record is a cocktail of emotion and sound and it ebbs and flows—kinda like life itself. There are punchy and energetic moments (see: the title track Everything in Colour) and angsty tunes (see: Slowfade). Heck, there are even tracks that see the band go all Old El Paso on us and have both (See: If I Die, which mellows into softer moments before throwing you right back into the deep end).
Whatever the case, Everything in Colour is full of certified bangers, and it will see the band graduate from the sleepy burbs to the national stage.
