The track is the second cut off the band’s upcoming album SUNNYLAND, set to be released on 15th June. It follows the release of Piece of Your Heart and carries the same heart wrenching, sing along moments that Mayday have become synonymous with.

Speaking of the track, guitarist Alex Garcia said:

Never Sure is about this tendency to be more in love with the chase or in love with love, than the actual object of the love. It’s about being dramatic for dramas sake really.”

As well as being their sixth studio release, SUNNYLAND is also the highly anticipated follow up to 2015’s Black Lines. The pop punk group worked with producers Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount on the record, who they have had past experience with. For the first time though, they also teamed up with Grammy nominated producer John Feldmann (Blink 182, Panic! At the Disco) notoriety and Howard Benson (My Chemical RomanceOf Mice & Men) notoriety.

Speaking of the inspiration behind the album’s title, frontman Derek Sanders said:

“The album’s title comes from an abandoned hospital where the band members hung out as teenagers. The hospital shut down sometime in the mid-’80s but then it just stayed there for decades. It was a super-creepy place—it was overgrown with vines, and still had some of the hospital beds and IV stands—but we have all these good memories of hanging out there when we were younger.”

Pre-orders for the record are available now through Rise Records, and will include an instant download of both Never Sure and Piece of Your Heart. SUNNYLAND will officially drop on 15th June via Rise Records and BMG Australia.
