Garage rockers The Gooch Palms are back with another cut off their next studio album—this time it’s in the form of a raw duet titled Are We Wasted?

In typical Goochies fashion the track is full of pounding drums, fuzzy chords and upbeat catchy melodies—everything that makes the party starters great really!
Speaking of the track, Leroy Macqueen (one half of the iconic duo) said:
“This was one of the most enjoyable songs we’ve ever written and it’s one of my personal favs. It’s also super fun to play live!”
To celebrate the single launch, the band will perform a one off show at Cherry Bar in Melbourne on Saturday, March 23rd. Following this, they’ll cross shores once again to play at SXSW, before continuing their reverb soaked journey on a two month, 35+ date tour around Canada and The US.
Are We Wasted is the follow up to poppy, feminist punk anthem Busy Bleeding (which featured TOTTY’s Kelly Jansch). It also follows on from ode to the supernatural Marfa Lights and good-time hit Summertime. All tracks will feature on the duos upcoming third album, which will drop via their fresh new label Ratbag Records/BMG.
Late last year, The Gooch Palms joined DZ Deathrays for a killer appearance on Triple J’s Like A Version. Their cover of Loveshack has racked up a combined 390,000 views as of publishing, you can watch it right here.
