London punk rock trio Dream Wife are set to release their self-titled debut album on January 26th and if the hype wasn’t already huge with this band, it’s even bigger now with Dream Wife dropping their brand new single Hey Heartbreaker, complete with an animated video clip.

The clip depicts a dystopian future, where the band are robot performers, held against their will in a sleazy bar. The animation and direction was taken care of by Joe Prytherch, aka Mason London, and the band loved working with him on the project. Check it out here:
“We were super excited to work with Mason London to bring the world of Hey Heartbreaker to life. Collaboration is integral in our approach to Dream Wife, and we encourage different creative ideas and paths to mix with our own vision,” says the band.
“It’s uncanny to watch these mechanical, parallel versions of ourselves rock out and then break out. We like to think that in another reality our robot versions are continuing their adventures; perhaps in the forest, perhaps plotting for a robot revolution, perhaps playing wild, secret rock shows to other robos”.
Dream Wife will be hitting Australian shores for the first time this year, as they make their way down under for Laneway Festival, and for their own headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne.
