The Festival has announced thrash metal giant Slayer have extended their closing set to 90 minutes, “… what a way to say goodbye to Australian fans” says the Festival as the band is on their final tour. If you are a Download goer already, wise, very wise. If you haven’t purchased, there is still time, so get it while you can.
More so, rock veteran’s Judas Priest and grunge icons Alice In Chains have also extended their sets to 75 minutes.

Due to his battle with pneumonia, Ozzy Osbourne had to cancel his headliner set. Although not taking his place, Victoria-based rock ‘n’ roll titans Airbourne were added only recently to the already blockbuster line-up.
This includes Anthrax, Sum 41, Halestorm, Twelve Foot Ninja, Alien Weaponry, Behemoth and many more.
The Sydney and Melbourne shows will be held on the 9th and 11th of March respectively.
