BURY THE KINGS // Drop Single And Details Of Their New EP

Melbourne outfit Bury The Kings have announced the upcoming release of their new EP V, a concept piece that chronicles the five stages of grief.

The five track work, set for release on Friday 18th May was produced, mixed and mastered by Scottie Simpson of Alpha Wolf fame. Simpson has also worked with local heavy heroes including Death In Bloom, The Gloom In The Corner and Gravemind.

In the lead up to the release, Bury the Kings have also rolled out the first cut off the EP. The single, titled Take Me With You is a taste of the bands intent for the record and expresses feelings of loss, the internal struggle with your demons and overcoming against all odds.

By no mean feat Take Me With You takes major inspiration from the third stage in the linear timeline of grief and connects the stage with the sound. By splitting the stages of anger and depression down the middle and fusing the two together the progressive metal group sonically and lyrically express bargaining.

“This has allowed us to branch out into different genres of heavy music, while at the same time maintaining our sound and creating something we are really proud of. We’ve all had our struggles in the past few years of the band, and the last year especially has been the hardest year for most of us” explains guitarist Wojtek Tomxzyk, who worked with Scottie during the process of producing the record.

V will be available for pre-order this Friday, March 23rd on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and Bandcamp

Bury The Kings will drop Take Me With You on the same day and it will also be available for purchase in Itunes, Google Play and Bandcamp, and for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon.
