Marking album #10 for the British metalcore magicians, the classic symptoms of a broken spirit is a lush and energetic opus, loaded with industrial and electronic hues that traverses classic Architects anthems in conjunction with post-rock soundscapes and beyond.

“Ultimately, the classic symptoms of a broken spirit has something for everyone, with the group’s 10th full length proving yet again that Architects aren’t just masters of metalcore or any other niche sub-genre, they are masters of metal and rock as a whole.” – Hysteria Magazine.

And the celebrations for the brand new album will only continue well into the new year, with the Architects finally returning to Australia in February, marking the first time the group have hit our shores since releasing their ARIA #1 charting album For Those That Wish To Exist.

“We are honestly so excited to get back to one of our favourite places in the world,” shares Architects vocalist Sam Carter. “Australia always makes us feel like home and has given us some incredible memories and we can’t wait to get back out and make more!”

An album allowing the band to once again create in the same room together, following restrictions and isolations during the pandemic years, the classic symptoms of a broken spirit allowed the group to embrace spontaneity and more creative freedom.

“This one feels more live, more exciting and more fun – it has that energy,” Carter reveals of the classic symptoms of a broken spirit. “We wanted it to be a lot more industrial and electronic.”

And with fan-favourite tracks on the album including when we were young, deep fake and tear gas all in contention to be witnessed live onstage in Australia next year, it’s safe to say these shows taking place in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane will be packed full of classic jaw-dropping Architects moments – don’t sleep on these shows, Live Nation pre-sales start next Monday 24 october at 10am, with general tickets on sale next Wednesday 26 October at 10am local time.
