Blistering drum runs and volatile vocals stick to traditional elements of the genre while the guitars, ravenous for speed, touch on some more modern edges of sound and bring in something exciting for the new listeners. It’s a captivating album that makes thrash suitable for young and old, what more could you ask for?

After Burner are really pushing for maximum fury and holistic energy

With an opening worthy of a place in an early Metallica album, Castle Crashers sets a scene and oozes ambience before a galloping ferociousness takes hold. After Burner set a high bar for themselves with a strong opening track, one they continue to pump with an inexhaustible energy. Colosseum rumbles true and simple, Under The Ice pulls in some dirty vox which surface again with a little hair metal lick and a killer guitar solo in Home Before The Street Lights.

Only two tracks of the ten available break the three minute mark, proving After Burner are really pushing for maximum fury and holistic energy, and doing it without sacrificing the creative intent. After Burner is an excellent option and introduction for anyone tentative to experience thrash but also works great for anyone keen to chuck a few windmills in the mosh pit.
