WINDWAKER // First Single ‘Castaway’ From Upcoming EP

Local Melbourne act Windwaker have released the first single Castaway from their upcoming as-yet untitled debut EP.

Premiering the accompanying video on Killyourstereo yesterday, and produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Sonny Truelove, the song encourages listeners to push through and realise their place in life. Originally intended to be a pop-rock project, Windwaker have thrown ambient electronics into metalcore stylings on Castaway, similar to Memphis May Fire and the like.

Mixing anthemic gang vocals with vocalist Will King’s impressive vocal range, Castaway promises to add a unique touch to local metalcore. If you’re interested in helping the boys celebrate, the band are playing a launch show at Your Local in Knox, supported by Winfield and Xure.
