UNIFY 2017 // Bigger, Better, and Bolder Than Ever

UNIFIED, THE HILLS ARE ALIVE and RED HILL ENTERTAINMENT announce UNIFY – A Heavy Music Gathering will be back for 2017, as a two night, three day camping heavy music experience.

Now Australia’s premier boutique heavy music festival, UNIFY 2017 will be held over the 13-15 January 2017 weekend in Tarwin Meadows, Gippsland, Victoria.

The full UNIFY 2017 line up will be revealed 22 June.

To get a taste of the successful and fan acclaimed UNIFY 2016 Gathering, watch our epic documentary featuring behind the scenes action and interviews with Parkway Drive, Ocean Grove, Tonight Alive, In Hearts Wake, Hellions, Make Them Suffer and more below.

Early Bird tickets for UNIFY 2017 will be available to previous ticket holders and will go on sale Friday 3 June. UNFD are only releasing a batch of 2,000 tickets in this first round, available only on 24hundred.net.

Last year’s Early Bird allocation sold out in under three hours, and organisers urge fans to get their tickets as quickly as possible.

UNFD Boss and UNIFY Gathering organiser Luke Logemann spoke exclusively to Hysteria about the expansion of the festival, and new improvements such as VIP experiences.

“I am just so beyond stoked that we get to do this all over again,” Logemann says. “These last two years have been some of the best times of my entire life, and it means the world that so many people seem to feel the same about it. Our line up is absolutely amazing for Year Three, and with the amount of experience and feedback we have on our side, I just feel like this will be the best one yet.”

Logemann is tight-lipped on who may appear on the festival bill, but revealed a few facts that will set speculation machines into overdrive.

“We have one band playing a classic album from 2008,” Logemann says. “We have two bands reforming to play. We have three bands returning from UNIFY 15 and three bands returning from UNIFY 16. And we have seven internationals from three different countries.”

Logemann and the UNIFY team have taken every opportunity to improve the festival not only for 2017 but into the future.

“One big thing is that we did a survey of everyone who came along in our first two years. We had more than half of the ticket buyers respond with feedback, and we’ve made changes that will directly address as much of the feedback as possible. More toilets and shade, less dust, lots of new food options and we’ll try not to sell out of merch in the first few hours this time!

“The other big thing we’ve worked on this time is a VIP experience for ticket holders. This will facilitate a new VIP bar, an express parking area and entrance, as well as some cool memorabilia stuff. I’ve always been sceptical of this kinda stuff, but so many fans have requested those options that we decided to give it a shot. Those will be available as ticket upgrades from 29 June onwards.

“UNIFY 2017 is where we establish this festival as an event people look forward to and trust for decades to come.”

UNIFY is a two-day boutique camping and music gathering set in the beautiful picturesque pastures of South Gippsland, a relaxed two hour drive from Melbourne. The site is set across a secluded recreation reserve, surrounded by greenery and a ten minute drive from the ocean.

The concept behind UNIFY is creating a community driven event of punters across the punk, hardcore and metal world, with a line up that showcases the quality and diversity of our heavy music culture. Previous headliners The Amity Affliction, Parkway Drive, Northlane, In Hearts Wake and Tonight Alive stand as testament to the fun, creativity and community spirit of what UNIFY represents.
