TONGUES // Exclusive EP Stream

Hysteria are proud to present the self-titled debut EP Tongues from former Aversions Crown vocalist Colin Jeffs.

Jeffs’ personal vendettas feature heavily throughout the EP’s five tracks and Tongues is a raw and aggressive listen from the outset as a result. Initial single and first track No Solace features DVSR vocalist Matt Youkhana and hints of their trademark mashup of djent and rap. Vitriol oozes from every corner of Tongues, due in no small part to Jeffs’ monstrous vocals. Discordant electronic beeps and scratches swirl during Wormfood, adding to the blinding rage that hangs over the record.

Speaking about the record, the singer says, “I want to get inside people’s heads. Everyone’s been in situations where they’ve been backstabbed, they’ve dealt with two faced people. Everyone’s had that and I’ve had a lot of it. It’s about people that have fucked me over. I’m writing something, I’m writing something direct… If you’re offended? That’s the point.”

So get involved or get the fuck out of the way because Tongues aren’t holding back.
