THORNHILL // UNFD’s Newest Signing?

It seems congratulations are in order for Thornhill as last night the Vox Singing Academy Facebook announced that the “post-hardcore giants” signed a record deal with UNFD.

EDIT 1308 AEDT: UNFD denied the rumour, saying they were unaware of it.

Vocalist Jacob Charlton is a student of the academy, founded by principal instructor Peter Vox.

Following the success of their EP, 13, one of the most stunning independent releases of last year, Thornhill are on the path to becoming the heavy scene’s next giant hitters.

With the release of their recent singles, Temperer and Limbo, both produced, mixed, and mastered by Ocean Grove drummer Sam Bassal, Thornhill perfectly balance strong punching riffs and beautiful clean melodies.

Recently invited to open for Northlane in Melbourne during The Mesmer World Tour, it’s undeniable they’ve caught the ear of UNFD.

Since the beginning of this year, UNFD have snapped up Cursed Earth, Introvert, and Easy Life, all next-big-thing scene darlings.

In our opinion, this comes as no surprise. Although neither band or UNFD announced it, so here we are, left begging the question is this true? Taking a look at the facts, it seems highly probable. Thornhill recently worked with Bassal, a UNFD artist. They were also scouted by Northlane, another UNFD artist. All things considered, we think it’s a good assumption that it is only a matter of time before we get confirmation.
