The Ghost Inside drummer Andrew Tkaczyk has taken to social media to reveal the loss of his right leg, after the band was involved in fatal road accident in November.
The horror smash left the driver of the band’s tour bus and the driver of a semi-truck dead after the two vehicles collided just East of El Paso in Texas.
All TGI members were seriously injured, but just over the past few days fans have learnt the extent of their injuries.
It’s obvious the loss of a limb for any musician is a significant blow, but Tkaczyk has told fans he will continue to play drums.
“I don’t care what anyone says. It’s a long road ahead, but I will play drums again.”
Tkaczyk revealed he woke up from a 10 day coma after the accident, leaving him with fractures in his spine, ribs and hip, along with several other injuries.
Member’s of the the American melodic hardcore outfit continue to recover from the ordeal both mentally and physically, with frontman Jonathan Vigil just yesterday detailing some of the horrific injuries he sustained.
Fans and other bands came TGI’s rescue over the past few months, raising more than $100,000 for medical expenses through a GoFundMe campaign.
