SWIFTBOI // A Change In The Rap Game

swiftboi

With terrifically raunchy lyrics, a zany demeanour and beats for days, Swiftboi is a name to look out for.  This Sydney rapper spits rhymes about whatever she likes, and in the best in your face way possible.

Performing on stages across Australia since 12 years old, performing in small bars in Outback Australia, she ran away at 16 from her turbulent home life to pursue music, and my oh my, she is a force to be reckoned with.

Dropping her first album HONEY TRAP in late 2017, the gritty collection of tunes were an offering to the music scene, with tantalising lyrics and deep-drop beats. A reflection of her life at the time, HONEY TRAP included beats from boom bap, industrial grime and new wave trap which shaped the game that Swiftboi is playing.

Fast forward to present day and she is gearing up to release her new album HECTOPLASM, featuring her latest single The Bad Guy, independently before the new year rolls in.

If you haven’t heard The Bad Guy, it’s a rap fan’s delight. Her lyrics, her flow, the beat and match that strong, independent woman vibe that Swiftboi is all about. Repetitive in the best way possible, the loop and her vocals are surely to get stuck in your head. Whether you’re replying the beat in your mind, or the lyrics, its definitely a tune to pump you up Friday morning before work to get you in the mood to get work finished for the week and welcome the weekend.

Also signing to Damaged Music, Swiftboi is on an upward trajectory. Keep an eye out for HECTOPLASM, if anything, signs point it to being better than HONEY TRAP.
