Dear Joey and Brooke, What a wild ride! I just wanted to write to express …
If you’re someone who’s been kicking their shoes having a good old whinge about the mediocrity of the smaller heavy metal festivals around town, then maybe this will wet your whistle.
Resilience Festival dropped their full band roster today, featuring big names including Clowns, Hellions, She Cries Wolf, and Tonight Alive. As a one-day festival boasting more than just a good line-up, Resilience Festival is also raising awareness for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention.
The festival is fast approaching on the 13th of October and is a little out of the way for most of us, in a town called Lithgow – two hours west of Sydney. If you’re curious about why it’s being held where it is, the town was devastated by the loss of two young men, only days apart earlier this year.
The message and intent of the festival was born out of tragedy, so it only makes sense to give back to the community and keep it close to home.
Grab a bunch of mates, pack your car and head along for a night of good bands, and great causes. Check out the full line-up below. If you’re already sold on the names we dropped already, you can grab tickets for the festival here.
If you aren’t able to make the festival but somehow still want to take part, you can donate to the cause here.
If you or someone you know is struggling at the hands of mental illness, contact Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636 or Lifeline 13 11 14. If you don’t like speaking on the phone, both offer an online chat service.
