Dear Joey and Brooke, What a wild ride! I just wanted to write to express …
Let’s Rock! Canadian punks PUP have released a new interactive video for Old Wounds, putting you in a DOOM style director’s chair. Come get some below (best viewed in the mobile YouTube app):
If you’re a PUP superfan, you’ll pick up on the easter eggs about all four members in the clip. The clip was put together by longtime director Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux.
You play as PUP’s new tour manager. Your mission is to get them back to their hotel room safely after a sold out show. There are 28 different ways to die, 16 aliens, 10 beers, five Eastern Conference NBA playoff team references, and only four ways for Stefan, Steve, Nestor and Zack to survive the night.
“This video is one of the craziest things we’ve done as a band,” says singer / guitarist Stefan Babcock.“I’m so proud of this thing, and am absolutely convinced that Jeremy is a total savant. From Steve’s sports obsession to Zack’s weirdo sci-fi brain soup, and Nestor’s unnatural love of pizza to me going off the deep end in the wilderness… this video is pure PUP.”
Old Wounds is taken from 2016’s The Dream Is Over, which made #7 on our Top 20 Albums of 2016 list.
