PROPAGANDHI // Return With First New Track In Four Years

Sometimes all you need in your week is a reminisce about the “good old days.”

If nostalgia is what you’re after, Canadian punk quartet Propagandhi have you covered. Winding back the clock to the mid 90s sounds of Strung Out, Black Flag, and Suicidal Tendencies is new single Failed Imagineer. Watch it here:

Kicking off with a cheesy yet lovable call to “have a rock & roll party tonight” the song screams straight into 5th gear, with the dads members thrashing at a furious pace, racing ahead of their peers in the punk rock peloton.

At just two minutes long and chocked full with bass harmonics, Bad Religion-esque harmonies and a video clip showcasing surely the world’s fastest grey-haired drummer, is shows the world may be changing but the song remains the same.

Failed Imagineer is the first single off the band’s forthcoming LP Victory Lap. It’s an ode against fascism that couldn’t come at a more politically relevant time.

It’s the band’s first effort since 2012’s Failed States. Propagandhi have clearly lost none of their fury in the four years between drinks. New guitarist Sulynn Hago adds a blistering breath of fresh air to the line-up.

Victory Lap drops 29 September.
