PREMIERE: VALHALORE // Drop New Single ‘Horizon’ Ahead of Oz Tour

Brisbane power metal and Mjölnir enthusiasts Valhalore have dropped their massive new single Horizon on the heels of announcing a massive Australia-wide tour. Raise your horns and get your epic on below:

About to open preceedings for legendary fantasy power metal monarchs Blind Guardian on their God Machine Australian run this month, Horizon is taken from their much anticipated second studio album Beyond the Stars, slated for release later this year.

According to the band, Horizon was created out of “disappointments of the Covid pandemic, career uncertainty and personal tragedy, [and] is a heartfelt and empowering ode to hope in the face of finality.”

“Creating Horizon was a four-year journey starting in 2017,” states guitarist Anthony Willis. “[It’s] filled with revisions that shaped its musical and lyrical essence. The song holds deep personal meaning for us, and is a testament to the five other profoundly talented musicians and friends of mine in Valhalore. Horizon is one of my proudest compositions. With genuine excitement, we hope the wait has been worth it! Enjoy!”

Founded by Anthony and vocalist Lachlan Neate in 2015, folky, symphonic, and bombastic power metal outfit Valhalore are not only Halloween Hysteria alumni but have shared local and international stages with the likes of Ensiferum, Kamelot, Wind Rose, Lagerstein, Alestorm, and Arch Enemy. They were also set to appear at Wacken Open Air 2020, which was cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

Beyond the Stars is their follow-up to 2017’s full length Voyage Into Eternity and 2018’s acoustic EP Solace and Solitude.

You can purchase and stream Horizon on all major platforms.
