Calling East Coast Locals; Papa Roach Lay Down The Challenge For Aussie Locals To Step Up & Open Their Show
Papa Roach’s forthcoming Aussie visit is one of the most hotly anticipated tours of the year, and now they’ve opened up a chance for a local act in each city to take on the coveted opening slot.
“Bands that send a song, video and their influences in ROCK, INDIE & ALTERNATIVE genres will be hand selected by Papa Roach by Monday, 15th January”, a statement from the band reads. “Entries must be received by the January 15th deadline. If you are a DJ, you can spin tunes during the show.”
Given the frustration faced by so many acts when spun the line “It’s all about who you know, how good your networking is, etc”, Papa Roach’s offer is the perfect opportunity to unearth new local talent that may never have the chance to have their music heard by the right people otherwise.
“We know what it’s like to work hard for our dreams” says frontman Jacoby. “Help us spread the word, cos we want to give you a leg up on the music industry ladder.”
All submissions must be sent to AreYouBFG@gmail.com by the deadline in order to be considered for the slot.
With all shows on the tour selling strongly, opportunities like this only come round once in a blue moon, so don’t second guess yourself, and get those emails in!
