MERE WOMEN // Announce ‘Big Skies’ LP + Drop Teaser Video

Post-punk force Mere Women have announced details of their new album Big Skies and a tour to match, along with a teaser video for the LP.

Dropping on 16 June via Poison City Records, the third album from the Sydney four-piece features recently released single and title track Big Skies, and 2016 single Drive alongside ten new tracks.

Following on from 2014’s Your Town, Vocalist Amy Wilson’s soaring, mournful style tells the story of women through generations, and themes of confinement permeate the record, with an undercurrent of dark, rhythmic energy.

Featuring intense imagery of a figure cloaked in black following a woman through a dreary night, over a static, electronic track, the unsettling teaser video offers a taste of the band’s new offering of genre bending, dissonant rock.

Mere Women will play a string of five shows along the east coast through June and July.
