Dear Joey and Brooke, What a wild ride! I just wanted to write to express …
Luca Brasi is set to release a brand-new track titled Got To Give tomorrow, serving as a taster for their biggest ever headline tour kicking off at the end of the month.
A year down the track from releasing their third LP If This Is All We Are Going To Be, things have taken a sharp turn for the better in the Luca Brasi camp.
From accompanying the likes of Violent Soho and The Smith Street Band on national runs to traversing around Asia, Europe and the US, as well as playing on festival stages including Laneway Festival, Festival of the Sun and nailing a coveted spot on Triple J’s Like A Version, the band have had the year of their lives.
“The last year has surpassed any hopes and dreams we could have had, I can’t even express how stoked we are to get to do this type of stuff,” says vocalist Tyler Richardson. “Got To Give is about that exact feeling, and needing that kind of support wherever you can get it. Being able to rely on the ones you need and love when things change is something I’m eternally grateful for.”
Recorded alongside long-time collaborator and Grenadiers member Jimmy Balderston, Richardson notes that the partnership always helps the band to grow. “Working with Jimmy is always a good time,” says Richardson. “He’s a total legend and always brings out the best in us.”
Got To Give premiered on Triple J last night and will be available on digital platforms everywhere on Friday. The song is set to receive its first live airing on the group’s upcoming national trek, set to be the biggest headline shows the band has played.
Accompanying Luca Brasi around the country will be American sad boys Pianos Become The Teeth, with fellow Tasmanians Maddy Jane and Speech Patterns along for the ride. See below for details and get in quick here if your city hasn’t already sold out!
