IN HEARTS WAKE // Release Video for ‘Nomad’

Eco-metalcore warriors In Hearts Wake have released their video for Nomad, featuring an all-female moshpit.

The track is lifted from their latest album Ark, which hit #3 on the ARIA Album charts. The Byron boys are preparing to spruik the album around the country this month with While She Sleeps (UK), Crossfaith (Japan) and Polaris. 

“For far too long, heavy music has been male-dominated and we know that not everyone feels comfortable in the mosh pit. When filming the video for Nomad we decided to take a different approach and call upon our female friends and fans to join us on location in the mosh pit,” says the band in a statement.

“We wanted to create a safe space for self expression, to let loose and have fun. It’s very important to us that everyone feels comfortable and safe at our shows, and most importantly, a place where everyone is free to be themselves. We had an awesome time filming this clip and we’re very grateful to all the amazing people who made this a very memorable experience.

“Always remember, it’s NOT JUST BOYS’ FUN!”

Since the LP’s release, the men of In Hearts Wake led We Are Waterborne: An In Hearts Wake Initiative. Over 200 fans joined the male members of In Hearts Wake in a series of clean-ups along some of Australia’s most polluted waterways.

Joining Sea Shepherd Australia, the guys will lead more cleanups in Bathers Beach, Fremantle. They also plan to extend the initiative to the UK and Europe.
