HARD NOISE: DREAM THEATER // Return For ‘Images, Words, & Beyond’

Peerless progressive metallers Dream Theater are coming back to Australia this September, celebrating a near three decades at the top of their genre.

The band will play one show each in Melbourne and Sydney as part of a special ‘Images, Words, & Beyond’ concert celebration.

Formed in 1985 as Majesty and releasing their first album When Day and Dream Unite in 1989, the New York-based group is credited as the unequivocal masters and commanders of progressive metal. In 2016, the band released their high-concept sci-fi dystopia album The Astonishing, their thirteenth long player.

During their illustrious career, the band has been nominated for a GRAMMY Award, sold more than 12 million albums worldwide, earned countless accolades and shared stages with iconic bands Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Yes, and Emerson, Lake, & Palmer.  Dream Theater are also nominees for this year’s Progressive Music Awards for International Band/Artist of the Year.
