GRIM RHYTHM // To Drop Debut LP ‘What Do You Know About Rock ‘n’ Roll?’

Melbourne’s lovable rock n’ roll barflys Grim Rhythm have just announced their debut LP, What Do You Know About Rock n’ Roll? is set for release on 9 June through their own label Suspect Records.

To celebrate, they’ve released The Suspect, the first single from the album. You can listen to it below:

Grim Rhythm are a strictly old school rock n’ roll power trio. They’ve only played the pub circuit since forming six years ago, gaining notoriety by traditional social media – word of mouth. It even led to an Australian tour and US national tour in 2016. No gimmicky Boomerang posts required.

They recorded the album in full analog with John McNichol (Hydromedusa, Horsehunter) at Twin Earth Studios in Adelaide, South Australia. The LP was mixed by Sam Johnson at Hole & Corners and mastered by Mikey Young. Recording for the 11-track album was completed in just two days, according to a statement by the band.

The band will (naturally) play some of Australia’s iconic dive bars to launch the album this June.
