GRAVES // Legendary Fans Help Out After Gear Theft

Graves Australian band

In just two hours, more than half of Graves’ $3000 fundraising goal has been accumulated after the band’s gear was stolen from a trailer this morning.

Touring with Suicide Silence, it’s alleged the Wollongong heavy hitters had equipment flogged after a motorist honked to let the crew know their trailer door was open.

Members backtracked on the highway route they’d come from (heading to Melbourne), thinking gear had fallen out, but now all signs point towards it being stolen.

A friend of the band, “Josh”, set up a GoFundMe page and already legends have raised more than half of the page’s $3000 goal.

The band took to Facebook to praise fans for being so generous:

We have been absolutely blown away to the point of tears by the support over our gear this morning and the donations people have given. It started as a rough morning but the overwhelming support we’ve received is nothing short of incredibly. Shows you how amazing people in this scene that keep this shit going can be and the love we have from our friends all over the place.”

The following gear was pinched from a trailer, so be on the lookout if any of it pops up at secondhand shops or online:

A snare drum, Wah pedals (one being modified), a MXR analogue delay & ts9, sansamp bass driver, American (120v) power supply for a decimator, a case full of guitar leads, jug chords, a speaker cable and a mixer.
