GRAMPIANS MUSIC FESTIVAL // Announce Line Up + Acts To Catch

Grampians Music Festival is back for its second year with 2018’s line-up featuring some awesome Aussie acts.

The festival will take place over 2, 3 & 4 of February 2018 in Halls Gap, Victoria. Some of Australia’s most impressive new bands – including Tired Lion, Ruby Fields, Polish Club and Heaps Good Friends – will hit the stage in February at Grampians Music Festival.

GMF 2018 has an impressive line-up made up of 20 acts, all of whom are making waves in the Australian music scene right now. The stage is surrounded by epic 360° mountain views in the heart of the Grampians National Park.

“We’ve scoured iconic music venues and band rooms across the country to find the best new bands and solo artists, and we couldn’t be more excited about our year two lineup.” says Festival Director Carly Flecknoe.

This festival focuses on a boutique experience, in an incredible location, supplied with local produce and the state’s best craft beers and spirits.

See below for all the best acts to catch!

Polish Club

Sydney’s Polish Club is David Novak and John-Henry and they’re the loudest soul outfit you’ve ever heard. John-Henry is the dynamic drummer, incredible at hitting three separate things at once with great gravity. Novak is the charismatic singer who also plays a beautifully brash blues guitar. Sydney’s Polish Club write soulful rock songs fifty years late and twice the speed.

Tired Lion

In 2015 Tired Lion seized Australian rock fans by the scruff of their necks by winning Triple J’s prestigious Unearthed Award. They have teared down the main stage at Splendour In The Grass, claimed the WAMI for Best Rock Song and supported The 1975, Kingswood and Luca Brasi. This year their debut album Dumb Days was Triple J’s Feature Album of the Week.

Ruby Fields

Unapologetically raw and a little rough around the edges, Ruby Fields makes honest, hard-hitting, ‘90s inspired indie pop-rock and has a rad time doing her thing. At 13 she snuck into venues and galleries in Cronulla to understand the vibrant music and art culture in her neighbourhood and began writing and creating her own music. Quickly taking the Aussie music scene by storm, Ruby Fields recently played a packed-out showcase at BIGSOUND ahead of her national tour this November.

SAATSUMA

Melbourne’s SAATSUMA is the collaborative electronic project of Memphis Kelly and Cesar Rodrigues. A combination of soulful vocals, warped synthesisers and gritty textures, the duo produce an effortless blend of raw vulnerability and lucid darkness. After their debut at BIGSOUND 2016, SAATSUMA graced the stage at Paradise and The Hills Are Alive and supported Dorsal Fins, Vera Blue and PNAU.
