Dear Joey and Brooke, What a wild ride! I just wanted to write to express …
UPDATE: Ronnie Radke himself quashes any chance of a reunion on Twitter. Within seconds of tweeting the link to the article below, Ronnie Radke tweeted Hysteria that a reunion was “not going to happen.”
The beef between Falling In Reverse and Escape The Fate is done. It’s completely dead and buried and it’s time to move on.
If Robert Ortiz, drummer for the ETF clan, brings up the infamous Ronnie Radke in conversation, it’s as good an opportunity to ask about the possibility of a Dying Is Your Latest Fashion 10 year anniversary tour. First up, they’re hitting our shores in October. There’s still no better time to discuss whether or not we’ll be seeing a reunion of sorts. Thankfully Ortiz understands just how many people would be crushed by a curt ‘no comment’, and may just have given us hope for the future. Albeit it may be away from our shores, but at least it’s something for those who fell in love with the landmark record.
“I don’t push those questions aside because I’m a fan too. I went and saw Guns n’ Roses, and I cried man. There’s footage, I literally cried for 20 minutes hugging this guy I met in the front row … yelling “THIS ISN’T REAL BRO!” he laughs.
“So I totally get it, first and foremost as a fan myself. The reality is though, it’s such a difficult thing to organize. I’ve hung out with Ronnie a few times in the past few years, but I don’t really know him anymore. At one point I said ‘I’m done with this fuckin’ guy, I’m not talking to him’ and I totally blocked him out. But I happened to be walking in Melrose in LA and I should’ve been in Las Vegas at this point. I walk into a store and all of a sudden I hear ‘ROBERT ORTIZ!’, and we talked for a minute. I took it as a sign, and things were meant to be.
Personally I’m open to any sort of thing to do with a tour. If Craig ever wanted to do something with Blessthefall like that, it’s for the fans. That’s what it’s about, and it’s for yourself as well.

“Personally I’m open to any sort of thing to do with a tour. If Craig ever wanted to do something with Blessthefall like that, it’s for the fans. That’s what it’s about, and it’s for yourself as well. That album was special to me and it’d be awesome to play with the guys again. But it’s a challenge, and now the dynamics have changed drastically. Everyone’s doing their own thing and it’s really different. The ten year is in like a month and a half, and I can’t fathom a tour at the moment. I’m open to it, and what, we’re going to travel together? Literally all the logistics and money have to come into it, and it’d be a challenge. I think a show or a select couple of shows would be a more reasonable endeavor, and you know what? It’s something I’m going to personally reach out to Ronnie and talk to about. It’s something I think should happen. It’s a landmark album, and it did so much more for rock music than the success of what we did after between the both of us.
“The amount of records it sold on its own and the success it had? That’s nothing compared to the impact that it made. It never reached above underground status, but it was huge. It changed everything. People still love that album, so it’s something I want to do, and I would love to celebrate it with a performance. I think it would be special. I’ll probably reach out to Ronnie and see if he wants to do it and contact the other guys. Everyone now is all on good terms, so it’s just business from now.”
