Hailing from Telemark, Norway, Emperor have become known as one of the leading bands to grow the symphonic black metal that Norway is internationally renowned for, and Australian fans now have an extra chance to get a taste of the chaos live.
As Emperor’s first ever Melbourne show reaches peak capacity, with hordes of fans missing out on tickets, high demand has led to a second and final Melbourne show being added for the 5th April, alongside a limited number of VIP meet and greets.
With exclusive shows in Sydney and Melbourne only, Emperor intend to give Australian fans a chaotic live show that anticipation is only building towards as the April dates draw closer.
Performing the entire Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk album, a ambitious release and a staple of the black metal genre, the wait may have been long for Aussie fans, but they will soon be able to embrace the epic savagery that is Emperor.
Speaking of their tour dates in Sydney and Melbourne, the band said “Australian hordes! We are finally coming your way. April 2019 it is—hope to see you all there! Emperial regards, Ihsahn, Samoth, Trym.”
Emperor will begin in Sydney, playing 2nd April at the Metro Theatre, with tickets selling fast. The band will then hit Melbourne for their first show, now sold out, on the 3rd April, and following up with the newly announced date of the 5th April.
Any fans without tickets will have to move quickly as the new date is bound to sell out, with expectations at an all-time high for what is likely to be a memorable show.
