DRIVEN TO THE VERGE // Release New Video For ‘What You’ve Become’

Driven To the Verge

Melbourne’s boisterous post-hardcore act Driven To The Verge has released a video for new single, What You’ve Become, on the heels of recording their debut record Transitions. Stream the video below:

Transitions, almost two years in the making, was produced by Roman Koester (of Thy Art Is Murder, Boris The Blade and The Red Shore) at Complex Studios in Melbourne in 2016. The record was mixed and mastered by American producer Joey Sturgis (Asking Alexandria, Attila, We Came As Romans). Transitions features the hard-hitting new single What You’ve Become; the band describes it as “an aggressive, riff laden song about the egotistical ‘keyboard warrior’ society that pollutes the internet and life in general.”

The music video was filmed by Gareth McGilvray.  The album is set for release on 12th May via iTunes, Spotify and in limited edition physical bundles to be announced soon.

The album revolves around the concept of change, growth and transformation, inspiring the death’s head moth motif in the album’s artwork, masterfully drawn by Scott Bates.

The track Skybound features guest vocals from Thomas Pirozzi of Sienna Skies. Driven To The Verge also worked with Melbourne based producer ‘Misstiq’ to create ambient keys and synth arrangements.

The band has been quiet preparing for the release of the new album, but will return to the stage alongside Closure In Moscow and Protest The Hero at the Corner Hotel on 21st April.  DTTV have played interstate and across Victoria in months past, sharing the stage with the likes of Dream On Dreamer, Make Them Suffer, Thy Art Is Murder, among others.

DTTV plan to hit the road to support the record in mid 2017 with a tour, thanks in part to The Liberty Agency.

DTTV formed in 2010 and has supported major acts such as The Amity Affliction, In Hearts Wake, Northlane, Chelsea Grin, and Bleeding Through.

What You’ve Become is available as a free download via Triple J Unearthed and Bandcamp.
