DAYBREAK // PREMIERE—Huge New Single ‘Lost Sentience’

We’re proud to premiere the latest single from Perth heavy noise makers Daybreak, Lost Sentience, featuring Mark Poida of xenocidal metallers Aversions Crown. Watch the video below:

This gives fans a taste of their upcoming EP Death Dreams, set for 28 July release. The video was produced by Split Mask Media.

According to a statement, “[the] video showcases the heavy-as-fuck song and a storyline that centres around a man locked in a dingy basement, who after taking various substances is attacked and tied down by demons and tortured – eventuating in his death. But were the attackers ever really there? Substance abuse and the subsequent mental health issues are raised by the clip and the stark, grimy imagery tells a horror-filled tale.”

From wet-behind-the-ears 15 year olds, Daybreak have released two singles and one EP over their brightening career. To date, they’ve shared stages with Ocean Grove, Hands Like Houses, Alpha Wolf, Polaris, Iconoclast, Hellions, Make Them Suffer and Attila.

The band worked with Iconoclast guitarist Cody Brooks on the EP. “We were stoked with what he got out of us so we decided to stick with him for the EP and we underwent a more intense recording process,” says Daybreak vocalist Shaun Cox. “At the same time we were working with Split Mask Media who have been producing film content for us since the band started. We worked on producing new music videos that were bigger and more hectic then our previous efforts and came out with two different but sick videos.”

The single will go live on Spotify from this Friday 9 June. The band will take pre-orders on the same day offering Lost Sentience as an instant download. For more, click here.
