PRIDELANDS // New Single: Battery City!

Melbourne heavy hitters Pridlands are back at it again, with a new banga Battery City.

Just over two months since their last single release Coalesce Pridelands have given us another taste of what they’ve been up to with their second stand alone single to come out of 2016.

Battery City certainly brings the emotion, implementing themes of isolation and wanting more out of life.

“The song is about having a sense of escapism enter your life; a new set of eyes for the world in which you see it as a machine and not a living, breathing entity,” said vocalist, Mason Bunt.

Bassist Joshua Cory explains the darker themes of the track, “Most importantly it’s about feeling powerless inside a cage you build for yourself. I picture a type of dark and grim desperation throughout, as if any attempt to reprimand your behavioral cycles are pointless.”

Unfortunately the band doesn’t have any shows on the horizon due to their guitarist helping those less fortunate over in Nepal, but it’s clear the band have been quite busy behind the scenes.

Here’s hoping for a possible full length some time in the new future, yeah?
