PREMIERE: HAMMERS // New Music From The Stoner-Blues Kings

Hammers, the Northern Rivers/South East Queensland quartet who refuse to be pigeon-holed into one genre, have just announced the release of their debut EP Homeblokes, set to drop on June 22.

Anticipating a surge of excitement around this news, premiering with Hysteria today the band have released their new single Speak Of The Devil and a brand new video.

It’s hilariously Hammers. Waking up in bed together all true blue style, the band are pitted against the Lord of Darkness himself, doing battle with their grinding metal riffs, pub-rock vocals, bluesy licks and a load of comedic antics, all to ensure the bugger doesn’t ruin their day.

Their multiple influences really seep through Speak Of The Devil, throwing in punk attitudes and anecdotal country stylings, setting us up for more great stuff to be heard in the EP.

The new single follows the release of Dead Set, which was nominated for Video Of The Year at the 2018 GC Music Awards, with Homeblokes the first release of new music from Hammers since the new lineup change last year.

In support of the new single, Hammers will perform at The Bearded Lady in Brisbane with Captives, The Quarters and Tai Sui in support, all ahead of their appearance at Dead Of Winter Festival on July 7.

Homeblokes pre-orders go live on May 18th, released June 22nd through Summerland Records.
