As Flaming Wrekage’s brutal fourth album tickles your earholes, you know this is something special. …
It’s been a while since things looked positive for The Ghost Inside. We had an update from frontman Jonathan Vigil in March, where he detailed a gnarly ankle operation, but word of their return to the stage had all but dried up in recent months. Until now.

Celebrating the ten-year anniversary of their red hot debut, Fury And The Fallen Ones, the Californian moshcore maniacs The Ghost Inside took to Facebook for a three-hour Q&A session. Amongst pretty much every topic fans would throw at them, the band detailed some choice trivia from their early days, including the news that current bassist Jim Riley wasn’t even asked to join the band–they’d hit him up to ask about a different musician joining the fold, and he ended up squeezing himself in instead.
If you’ve got some time to kill, you can suss the full Q&A out below.
The stream was a pretty important one for the band–not only was it their first time interacting with fans since their devastating bus crash in 2015, but it was the first time all five members had been in the same room since the incident. The band later tweeted their excitement for the milestone.

And, of course, that’s not all that came from the monumental event. Though the actual performance wasn’t captured (Riley’s excuse being, “Lord only knows what’s it going to sound like”), the band had their first proper jam in close to three years. We were able to take a sneak peek into the setup of their practise session, however, yet again thanks to the magic of livestreaming.
The Ghost Inside were initially set to make their live return at the 2017 Vans Warped Tour, however those plans were eventually squashed when the band’s recovery met some unfortunate setbacks. It’s unknown when their next shot at a comeback will come around, but here’s hoping it happens sooner rather than later!
